- 原著70分话，剧版可打90分，至于影版，不值一提。剧版对原著提升不少，比如下岗，放在工厂运动会场景中，含蓄而有力；又比如剧版结尾小菲的自尽，以及小树的旷野哭泣，都是改编的神来之笔。剧版的精当，在于每个人物都活在自己真实的世界里，活灵活现。如果说《狂飙》是一个人“不像演的”，那《平原》每个人都“不像演的”。而剧版也呈现了中国电视剧有史以来少有的慢节奏以及对日常场景近乎痴迷的还原记录，这背后不仅有拍摄者独特的视觉美学和视觉趣味，更有对中国社会进程中社会景观的深刻认知。在“摩西”这个主题上，剧版与原著是一致的，都指向一种“无能的力量”，但剧版显然呈现得更加鲜明有力，这种有力甚至是通过一种更加闲散、百无聊奈的社会景观呈现出来的。
